A small child is sick in his bed, listening to his father read him a bedtime story. His father tells him of the Taker, a monster who isn’t quite a monster. The boy is sick with leukemia and he doesn’t have much time to live. His parents and the doctors are all at the end of their rope, not knowing what to do other than say goodbye to the poor boy. The boy gives in to his illness and is ready to die… until he start receiving nightly visits from none other than the Taker. What does the monster want with the boy?
